American Heart Association Training Courses
Basic Life Support (BLS) is the minimum course needed for Healthcare providers. The class is CPR for the healthcare worker and necessary for any healthcare provider.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required by many hospitals today. This course expands on Cardiac care during resuscitation. Cardiac arrest, Stroke and MI are just some of the topics.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is a specialized course for those involved in treating Infants and Children. This course is needed only in a small number of departments in hospital.
The AHA Heartcode courses are better suited for Renewals and not recommended for an Initial course. If this is the first time you are taking an AHA course, you participate in a classroom session.
